Ward-update on the city-possible move to the Red Tier on Wednesday, March 17-so behave yourself! The car show on Monday, across from Mr. D’s, had 60 cars on display!

How many District Governors have come from our club and who are they? Jim Paddock, Kevin Padilla, Herb Trumbolt, Jerry Shepherd and John Sullivan. John Sullivan and Jerry Shepherd have been District Governors in other areas.

What were the names of previous fundraisers prior to Cowabunga? Cash Bash and an art auction, fireworks sales, fish fry. Lisa $2 fine for not knowing. Nate answered correctly with Cash Bash. Everyone else $2 fine. Robert donated $50 for his birthday. Nate very proudly announced, he has a check for $2,500.00 from an anonymous donor for the scholarship fund! Yeah, Nate!

Yavuz Atila from the Environmental Sustainability Rotary Action Group was our speaker. He graduated from the Turkish Naval Academy, had training in Monterey, is involved in IT Solutions, is the first Turkish District Governor and has started several Rotary Clubs. There is a video competition on ideas for contributing to saving the environment, “How do I repair our planet?” 70 seconds, due date in 7//1/2021.
