Local orange harvest

The Rotary Club of Placentia partners with Harvest Club of Orange County to help people with an abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables they cannot or would not harvest themselves and donate the food to the underserved with our volunteer harvesting teams. Our efforts prevent a valuable, high-quality food resource from being wasted and instead, make it available to the hungry in Orange County.
1. Bring neighbors together
2. Provide nutritious food for the hungry
3. Promote sustainable uses of urban resources
4. Encourage home food production and minimize food waste
5. Do good and have fun!
Feeding those in need and building community by sharing our surplus fresh fruits and vegetables from the backyards of Placentia. Website :theharvestclub.org

Our club members have taken on a new community service project-picking fruit! So far it has been rewarding, fulfilling and lots of hard work! If you know of someone with fruit trees in their yard, that would benefit from this community service, please contact us! The fruit is taken to numerous food banks throughout Orange County.
