Membership

"Membership is everyone's Job"; this is why last year we instituted the Club within a Club idea.

The two basic principles are:

First, make membership in a club the total responsibility of the entire Club  (and not individuals).

 Second, to induct members as a group (and not as individuals).

 Rotary has been growing over the years while other service organizations  have not.  The main growth has been through the creation of new Rotary clubs.  The club within a club is a system that takes all those great ideas for starting a new club and uses them to bring a group of people into an existing club.

The club develops a new vibrancy as new ideas and energy come into the club.  New members feel part of the club immediately as they have others at the same degree of "newness".  Every club member is involved and has ownership in the investment of bringing in new members.  And most importantly, membership is accepted as an annual occurrence.

Remember how it felt to be asked to pledge a fraternity or sorority in college?
Remember how it felt when you received a coveted invitation to a very special event?
Remember how it felt to be asked to join Rotary?

The best clubs and organizations, like family traditions, trace their roots to strong contributions by individuals.  These individuals create the environment in which camaraderie flourishes and new friendships begin.

So lets all work together to bring new members into our club this year.
